Dr. Wenpo Lee
Member of the Advisory Board
Dr. Wenpo Lee has been an active member of THE FRANK LATZER GROUP Advisory Board since 2008.
He has an exceptional background with leading industrial and commercial companies in both China and Germany and has led the Research Department for advanced generation automotive engines for the Volkswagen AG headquarters in Germany.
In Beijing he served as the Chief Representative of Volkswagen. Wenpo Lee was the head of the then newly established “China Project” Department which helped VW become the leading foreign automotive manufacturer in China.
Wenpo Lee acted as Managing Director for the Swiss Swatch Group in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Under his leadership the Group became the main importer and distributor of famous brands like Omega, Rado, Longines, Tissot and Swatch.
Wenpo Lee was a Member of the Board of the Chinese Center in Hannover, Germany, and is currently a Senior Advisor for well-known European and multinational companies.
Wenpo Lee has a BA in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Taipei, Taiwan and a ‘Diplom Ingenieur’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Aachen University of Technology in Germany.
He was also awarded the honourable ‘Doctor Ingenieur’ title by the Aachen University of Technology.
