Dr. Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz

Dr. Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz has been an active member of THE FRANK LATZER GROUP Advisory Board since 2009.
He is a former diplomat and was ambassador to Moscow. At present he is an Advisor for several European companies regarding their business in Russia. Additionally he is the management’s spokesman of the German-Russian Youth Exchange Foundation in Hamburg since 2006.
Since 1966 Mr. von Ploetz has assumed several duties in the Federal Foreign Office. From 1989 to 1993 he was German Ambassador and permanent representative in the NATO Council and until 1994 Director of the European-department. 1994-1998 Dr. von Ploetz operated as State Secretary and was responsible for the European Integration, and Business, Cultural and Judicial Issues.
He was ambassador to Great Britain from 1999 to 2002 as well as to the Russian Federation from 2002 to 2005.
He studied Laws at the university of Marburg, Berlin and Vienna and received his doctorate in 1967.
Dr. von Ploetz is married with two children.
